Dinner from Scratch
I made skillet for brunch today. I threw some sweet potatoes and ground pork. It turned out so good amazingly. For dinner I made a spring roll made from brunch leftover. Yes I made it from scratch. I'm proud to say it came out good. It was a perfect pair of the hot and spicy banana ketchup. I also made so fish soup (tinolang isda) where I threw in some leafy veges like sweet potato tops. I can't believe how my kids ate with gusto tonight. I kept hearing more rice pleassse, more soup pleasssse. Hubby told me that he would like to bring a leftover lumpia for work. My family is such an inspiration.

What's For Dinner?
I baked some tilapia fillet for dinner. I simply sprinkled it with some garlic powder, minced onions, salt and pepper, wrapped it in an aluminum foil then baked it for 30 minutes. I also sauteed some broccoli and beans to go with it. I garnished it with red pepper, onions, garlic and a spoon of soy sauce. Hmmm, it smelled really good. It is very healthy too! For sure hubby loved what I made. He is always proud I can cook. ;-)

Dinner at Outback
When I went home after work hubby let me decide where to eat dinner. We went to Genuardi's for groceries since they have good sales this week. We ended up going home at 7pm so going to Bahama Breeze for dinner is not a good option. I kept thinking and thinking where and it came to my mind that Outback Steakhouse would be a good one. The kids were invited to have dinner with Madie so they did not go with us. Surprisingly stepson went dinner with us. We all had the same order the outback specialty of lobster and steak. It was amazingly good. We had some chicken quesadilla as appetizer. Stepson liked eating outback and told us that the next time we go there he will order the bloomin' burger. He also said it was his first time to eat lobster.

Mexican Food

.jpg)
We usually go out and eat on Fridays. Last Friday's food trip was authentic Mexican food so we went to the restaurant called On the Border. I'm sure you are familiar with that one. They are famous with mexican grilled food. My stepson surprisingly went with us on our Friday Food Trip. He usually is contented with Chick Fil- A or Wendy's. He can't simply resist his favorite food. It was pouring but we didn't mind it. I like the restaurant's ambiance first of all. The kids loved it too. We loved their bottomless super big chips and spicy salsa. I ordered bacon wrapped shrimps and steak medallion ( tender carne asada medallion steak). It was tender steak with unique flavor to it. It came with sweet corn and corn bread. The corn bread had a hint of jalopeno in it. It was so yummy. I got an excellent choice of dinner. Hubby go spicy fajitas and my stepson got tacos. We enjoyed dinner there. I hope we will go back there soon. I'm beginning to love mexican food.

Singapore Restaurant
We went to the Singapore Restaurant for dinner last night. Hubby and I really love this restaurant off in Route 73. They have japanese sushi, singaporian and thai cuisine. It makes me feel like I'm home away from home in this exotic place. We ordered california roll, chicken satay, chicken fried rice, singaporian rice noodles and pad thai. Everything we ate was excellent to my pallete. I wonder what's their secret in making these food ohhh sooo goood!
Here are some of the pics we took.
